Questions about overnight stops
Where can I stay along Camønoen?
The route passes hotels, bed and breakfasts, private stays, campsites, shelters and simple tent pitches. The useful choice depends on how far you want to walk that day, so Thway groups the search around your routed distance.
Can I split a long published stage?
Yes, when the route data contains a reachable stay before the published endpoint. Set a shorter daily target and compare the candidates returned for that part of the route.
Does Camønoen change when I select accommodation?
The underlying trail stays the same, but the day's route finishes at the stay you select. The next walking day begins there, so your overnight choices define the itinerary.
Does Thway show live availability?
No. Thway finds candidate stays and calculates the walking route to them. Confirm availability, opening dates and booking terms directly with the provider.
Choose the night's stop, then let the walking route follow
Camønoen is selected in the planner. Place your start, set the daily distance and compare reachable stays one day at a time.
The Camøno was built to be easy to walk and easy to like. It loops around Møn and a couple of smaller islands on gentle, well-marked paths, and the people you meet are half the appeal: bakers, farm-shop owners and locals who are happy to point you the right way.
Most walkers come for Møns Klint at the eastern end, where white chalk cliffs drop into clear green water. The slower miles in between run through orchards, beech woods and small thatched villages, and they are just as good.
What you'll walk through
- The white chalk cliffs and beech woods of Møns Klint
- Orchards, farm shops and village bakeries
- Quiet coastline and sea views for most of the way
- Dark skies (Møn is a designated Dark Sky park)
Best season
April to October; orchard blossom in spring, warm swims in late summer.

Stege, the natural start, is reached by bus from Vordingborg station on the Copenhagen line.
