The Camøno was built to be easy to walk and easy to like. It loops around Møn and a couple of smaller islands on gentle, well-marked paths, and the people you meet are half the appeal: bakers, farm-shop owners and locals who are happy to point you the right way.
Most walkers come for Møns Klint at the eastern end, where white chalk cliffs drop into clear green water. The slower miles in between run through orchards, beech woods and small thatched villages, and they are just as good.
What you'll walk through
- The white chalk cliffs and beech woods of Møns Klint
- Orchards, farm shops and village bakeries
- Quiet coastline and sea views for most of the way
- Dark skies (Møn is a designated Dark Sky park)
Best season
April to October; orchard blossom in spring, warm swims in late summer.
Getting there
Stege, the natural start, is reached by bus from Vordingborg station on the Copenhagen line.
