Subscription & Cancellation

Thway Plus is an optional recurring subscription. It includes unlimited saved routes; full-route and per-day GPX, KML, and GeoJSON downloads; custom stay-type and search-width controls; and stay swapping with recalculation on saved routes.

A free account may save one route. Daily distance and walking-hour controls, basic route generation and viewing, custom stops, undo, renaming, sharing, and deletion are not Plus-only. Ending Plus never hides or deletes existing routes. Those routes remain viewable, renameable, shareable, and deletable, while new saves above the free limit, downloads, and saved-route recalculation are locked.

By pressing Stripe's subscription/payment button after accepting the displayed terms, you place an order with an obligation to pay the recurring amount shown at Checkout.

The DKK catalogue prices are configured as tax-inclusive. Stripe calculates tax from the configured registrations and billing location. If no relevant tax registration applies, Checkout can show no tax collected while monitoring potential obligations.

Stripe Adaptive Pricing may offer eligible customers a price in another currency. The localized total can include Stripe's conversion margin, typically shown as part of the converted price. The final currency, amount, interval, and tax result are displayed by Stripe before payment and on the receipt or invoice.

Use Manage billing in account settings to open the Stripe-hosted portal. The portal can update payment methods and billing details, show invoices and tax IDs, and apply the options configured for the Thway account.

A switch between monthly and annual billing is scheduled for the next renewal without mid-cycle proration where the configured Stripe portal supports that change. Stripe shows the effective date before confirmation.

You may cancel in the Stripe portal at any time before the next renewal. Ordinary cancellation is scheduled for the end of the current paid period. No further recurring period is charged, and the subscription remains active until that period ends.

The portal may collect an optional cancellation reason. It does not offer immediate cancellation, a retention discount, or a promotion code under the launch configuration.

If a payment fails, Stripe may send notices and retry the payment using its configured retry rules. Account settings will show a payment issue based on signed Stripe webhook updates. You can update the payment method in the portal. Plus features remain available while the subscription is marked past due during this payment-retry grace period.

Stripe may ultimately mark a subscription unpaid or canceled after unsuccessful recovery. Plus access then ends, subject to any rights required by law, but saved routes are not hidden or deleted. Thway preserves Stripe's raw billing status locally and does not infer a successful payment from the Checkout return page alone.

Account deletion is different from ordinary portal cancellation. Before deleting local data, Thway queries Stripe and immediately cancels active subscriptions without proration or an automatic refund. If Stripe cancellation fails, account deletion stops so that a recurring charge cannot be orphaned.

Deleting the account removes local billing mappings. Stripe Customers, invoices, and financial records are retained where needed for accounting, disputes, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

Mandatory Danish and EU consumer rights continue to apply. The final wording for withdrawal rights, immediate commencement of a digital service, and loss or preservation of any withdrawal right must be approved by a legal reviewer before live sales.

Cancellation does not itself create an automatic refund. Contact support for a manual assessment of legally required refunds, duplicate charges, or payment errors. Nothing here limits a refund or remedy required by law.
