Subscription & Cancellation

ThWay Plus is an optional digital-service subscription. It includes unlimited saved routes; full-route and per-day GPX, KML, and GeoJSON downloads; custom stay-type and route-search width controls; and stay swapping with recalculation on saved routes.

A free account may save one route. Route generation and viewing, daily distance and walking-hour controls, custom stops, undo, renaming, sharing, and deletion remain available without Plus. Ending Plus does not hide or delete existing routes. New saves above the free limit, downloads, and saved-route recalculation become unavailable unless Plus is restored.

ThWay runs in a current browser with JavaScript, essential cookies, and an internet connection. Mapping and payment features also depend on the relevant third-party service being reachable. Exported route files require a compatible app or device chosen by you.

Stripe Checkout shows the final amount, currency, tax treatment, billing interval, and recurring-payment obligation immediately before you place the order. Selecting Stripe's subscribe button creates an order with an obligation to pay.

We may change the subscription price for a valid commercial or service reason. A change applies only to a future renewal. We will give clear advance notice where required, and you may cancel before the new price takes effect. A price change does not reduce any stronger right provided by mandatory law.

The contract is offered in English. You choose a plan in ThWay account settings, then Stripe shows the order summary and lets you review or correct billing information before submitting or leave Checkout without ordering. The subscription contract is concluded when Stripe confirms the order and ThWay activates Plus.

Stripe processes payments and hosts Checkout and the billing portal. ThWay does not receive complete card details. DKK catalogue prices are configured as tax-inclusive; the tax actually shown depends on applicable law, your billing location, and the registrations configured in Stripe.

For eligible customers, Stripe may offer a converted price in a local currency. That amount may include Stripe's conversion margin. The amount and currency displayed at Checkout are the amount and currency you authorize.

Promptly after purchase, an electronic order acknowledgement and the contract confirmation, these terms, and the withdrawal information will be provided in a form you can retain. Keep that confirmation and your Stripe receipt or invoice for your records. ThWay does not provide a separate contract download in account settings; Stripe invoices remain available through the billing portal.

Plus is activated as soon as Stripe confirms the subscription. If you buy as a consumer online, you may withdraw from the subscription without giving a reason within 14 days after the contract is made. Starting to use Plus does not, under the current purchase flow, waive that right.

To withdraw, send a clear statement before the deadline through Thway contact or to the public email shown at the top of this page. You may use the model form below, but you do not have to. We will acknowledge an electronic withdrawal on a durable medium.

If you validly withdraw, Plus ends and we refund the subscription payment no later than 14 days after receiving your notice, using the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise. We do not charge for Plus use before withdrawal under the current purchase flow.

You can cancel automatic renewal through Manage billing in account settings, which opens Stripe's hosted portal. An ordinary portal cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. Plus remains active until then, and no new period is charged.

Danish consumers have an additional mandatory right for ongoing services: after five months from the contract date, the subscription may be terminated with one month's notice to the end of a month. You may give that notice earlier for effect at the earliest lawful date. This right also applies to an automatically renewing annual plan. See section 28 of the Danish Consumer Contracts Act.

If the Stripe portal does not offer the effective date required by that rule, submit the cancellation through ThWay contact. If you have prepaid for time after the subscription's effective end, that amount will be refunded without delay. Consumers elsewhere keep any more favorable cancellation right under their mandatory local law.

Where available in the billing portal, a switch between monthly and annual billing is scheduled for the next renewal without mid-period proration. Stripe shows the effective date before you confirm.

If a renewal payment fails, Stripe may notify you and retry under its configured recovery rules. You can update your payment method in the portal. Plus remains available while Stripe marks the subscription past due during a retry period. Access ends if the subscription later becomes unpaid, canceled, incomplete, or otherwise ineligible, but your saved routes are not hidden or deleted.

Account deletion is different from an ordinary portal cancellation. Before deleting local data, ThWay attempts to cancel any active Stripe subscription immediately. If cancellation fails, deletion stops so that a recurring charge is not left without an associated account.

If deletion ends a subscription before the end of prepaid time, we refund the unused period whenever required by the statutory cancellation rules or another mandatory right. Apart from the 14-day withdrawal right, mandatory cancellation refunds, remedies for a defective service, duplicate charges, or payment errors, cancellation does not create a refund for time already supplied.

Deletion removes local billing mappings. Stripe and ThWay may retain invoices and limited transaction records needed for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, disputes, or other legal obligations, as described in the Privacy Notice.

We may update Plus for a valid reason such as security, legal compliance, compatibility, abuse prevention, or improving service functionality. Updates to an ongoing digital service will be made without an additional charge unless you agree to a new purchase.

Where a change has more than a minor negative effect on access or use, we will provide clear advance information on a durable medium and any right to end the contract. If Plus is not supplied or does not conform to the agreement, you retain the mandatory remedies available for digital services, which may include correction, a proportionate price reduction, termination, and refund.

Complimentary Plus access may be granted separately by ThWay. It does not create a paid subscription, payment method, invoice, or automatic renewal. Its expiry appears in account settings, and it may be withdrawn for a legitimate reason. Complimentary access does not pause, cancel, refund, or otherwise alter a paid Stripe subscription.

The general Terms of Service and Privacy Notice also apply. If the price or interval shown at Checkout differs from the plan you intended to buy, do not submit the order. For billing, withdrawal, cancellation, or refund help, use ThWay contact.
