Terms of Service

Thway provides tools for planning multi-day hiking routes. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Thway is a planning aid, not a navigation, safety, accommodation, or emergency service. Trail conditions, access, weather, opening hours, and accommodation availability can change. You remain responsible for checking current conditions and making safe decisions.

You must provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in credentials secure, and promptly tell us if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or third parties, or where an account is used unlawfully or materially breaches these terms.

Thway Plus is an optional recurring subscription. A free account may save one route. Plus provides:

• Unlimited saved routes.
• Full-route and per-day downloads in GPX, KML, and GeoJSON formats.
• Custom stay-type filters and route-search width controls.
• Stay swapping and route recalculation on an already saved route.

Daily distance targets, daily maximums, walking hours, route generation and viewing, custom stops, undo, renaming, sharing, and deletion remain available without Plus. If Plus ends, existing routes are not hidden or deleted: they remain viewable, renameable, shareable, and deletable. New saves above the free limit, downloads, and saved-route recalculation remain locked until Plus is restored.

• Monthly: 25 DKK per month.
• Annual: 199 DKK per year.
• No trial, promotion code, or one-time pass is offered.
• The minimum commitment is one selected billing period, and the subscription renews automatically until canceled.

Plus remains available while a failed renewal is in Stripe's payment-retry grace period. Access ends if the subscription later becomes unpaid, canceled, incomplete, or otherwise ineligible.

Stripe processes payments and acts as the billing system of record. The Checkout page clearly identifies the recurring price and interval before you place an order and requires acceptance of the applicable terms.

Catalogue prices are configured in DKK as tax-inclusive prices. Actual tax collection depends on applicable law and the registrations configured in Stripe. Eligible international customers may be offered a localized price through Stripe Adaptive Pricing; that converted price can include Stripe's conversion margin and is shown before payment.

You may cancel through the Stripe-hosted billing portal. Ordinary cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, and no new period is charged. Monthly or annual plan changes are scheduled for renewal without a mid-period proration where supported by the portal configuration.

Deleting your Thway account cancels active Stripe subscriptions immediately. It does not automatically refund unused time. Invoices and other records may remain with Stripe where required for accounting or legal compliance.

Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights. Withdrawal rights, legally required refunds, and any consent required for immediate supply of a digital service must be confirmed by a Danish legal reviewer before live sales. Contact support for a manual review of any refund request.

You may not use Thway to:

• break applicable law or infringe another person's rights;
• probe, disrupt, overload, scrape, or reverse engineer the service except where applicable law expressly permits it;
• bypass access controls, misuse another account, or introduce malicious code;
• resell or systematically reproduce Thway data without written permission.

We aim to keep Thway available and accurate, but the service and its datasets may contain errors or be temporarily unavailable. To the extent allowed by law, Thway is provided without a guarantee that a proposed route is passable, safe, suitable, or accepted by an accommodation provider.

Any limitation of liability in the final terms must respect mandatory Danish and EU consumer law. This draft does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

We may update these terms where reasonably necessary, including for legal, security, or service changes. Material changes affecting an active subscription will be communicated as required by law before they take effect.

Danish law applies, without removing mandatory protections available to consumers in their country of residence. The final dispute and complaint wording, including any required EU or Danish complaint channel, remains subject to legal review.
